STELLENBOSCH, DE ZALZE WINELANDS GOLF ESTATE AND SURROUNDS

Stellenbosch and surrounds is one of the most exquisite regions in South Africa boasting majestic mountains and outstretched vineyard landscapes resulting in awe-inspiring views and a sense of space like no other. The historic town is situated in the Western Cape's Coastal Region adjoining the City of Cape Town and is just 52km from Cape Town (40 minutes driving time).

By representing more than 200 wine and grape farms within the boundaries of the Stellenbosch Wine of Origin classification it is not only one of the most exciting premier tourist attractions in the Western Cape, but is undoubtedly home to some of South Africa's most famous wine estates.

Stellenbosch, as one of the most well-known towns in the country is also known for its prestigious University and historic culture. The whole spectrum of quality education providers is covered in abundance from pre-schools, primary schools, high schools and tertiary institutions. There is even a modern science and technology park situated on the town border between the Stellenbosch Golf Course and the prestigious De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate.

Other than De Zalze, there are a number of extremely popular gated villages in and around the town. Popular De Zalze offers its residents the epitomy of luxurious living on this exceptional and secure 300ha estate. It is located on the southern fringe of Stellenbosch and houses an 18-hole championship golf course as well as a tastefully decorated club house with its own restaurant, the award-winning Kleine Zalze winery, Terroir Restaurant and much much more...

The mountain views are magnificent to say the least and the Blaauwklippen River runs 'through it'. 120 hectares are planted to impeccable vineyards that form the backdrop to the stately, pristine residences on the estate. The rural and tranquil atmosphere is supplemented by a number of dams and plenty of olive trees and indigenous gardens throughout that contribute to the large variety of birdlife on the estate.

Owning a property on the estate offers not only golf, vineyards and olive groves, but also walking/running trails, fine dining, bird-watching, wine-tasting, mountain biking and serene and beautiful surroundings to enjoy it all in.
